Gabriele Künne

Gabriele Künne studied fine art at the Berlin University of the Arts from 1991 to 1998, graduating with a master’s degree. In 1995, she studied at the Royal College of Art in London as part of the Erasmus program. In 1999, she received a work scholarship at the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop.
In 2000 and 2001, as part of the postgraduate program of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm, she realized various projects and exhibitions in Scandinavia, including exhibitions at the Goethe Institute in Helsinki and the Kunsthalle Vaasa.
From 2001 to 2003, she received the Karl Hofer Fellowship in Berlin. Gabriele Künne has been showing her work in solo and group exhibitions since 1992—in the 1990s, primarily in temporary galleries and project spaces in the former eastern part of Berlin, and later also in institutions, museums, and galleries in Germany and abroad. Her works are in public and private collections in Germany.
She is part of the Axel Obiger Collective.
